Getting Festive

A dark and wet day. I drove to the office at lunchtime along a rather water logged A-road. Once there I discovered the person I was meeting with couldn’t join me. It wasn’t a completely wasted journey for I managed to see a few others, clear out my post, collect some stationary and declutter my office of things which were useful two years ago before Covid, but are no longer - interesting how life has moved on - they felt like part of another existence. I stayed late to avoid the heavy traffic and was welcomed home with a chicken stew Andy had made. After dinner I popped out for a walk and found people in the village have been making it look festive! Grateful to them for all their efforts. Bracing ourselves for the second storm of the winter which arrives tomorrow!
