Rush job

every week I go as a volunteer to a special group of children within a primary school, called the sun group. they all have at least one handicap, but they all have their own talent. the great thing about this group is that they are in their own class, but in a regular primary school. there is a lot of interaction between the classes: the oldest classes come to help read and play games, the other class helps bake cookies and the toddlers come together to play with shaving foam or blowing bubbles and you name it... but because of corona the interaction is limited to ' window visits'. today, however, the idea came from one of the older kids to play a puppet show by the window for the 'sun group' before Christmas. but they do need some materials for that. an elf hand puppet for example, but how do we make it?! well, we can crochet that one... I've got some work to do tonight! this patch has to be finished, tomorrow the children will make an elf out of it...
