Place on the Park

Thomas left this morning, heading into Zaragoza, the next part of this business trip.

Bb and I met up in the evening after he'd been up in IESE and we had a bite to eat here, in what we call The Place on the Park, as it's on one of the borders our nearest park /garden.  Here's Bb taking to the owner Carlos about whether he and his wife (in the kitchen) prefer this place or their previous restaurant, just down the road, which they sold a few years ago, took a year off and then appeared in this place, much to everyone's delight. They seem to prefer here. The terrace is a bit smaller and the customers are younger, have tapas and drinks at night more than full meals and most importantly they said, they run it themselves, with no hassle of staff.  The terrace during the warmer months was too busy for us, but at this time of year, we like it because it's empty at night and so we take a table near the open door.  We're sometimes lucky enough to get the main course from their lunchtime menu del dia if there's any left over and always check that first. Simple home cooking.
