Myself, Alex and Adrian went to see the 'Giants' play the Swans on Saturday night. We were very fortunate to be given some tickets by a friend of ours.
The Greater Western Sydney Football Club, nicknamed the Giants, is an Australian Football club which plays in the Australian Football League. Representing the Greater Western Sydney area, the club is based at the Blacktown International Sportspark. It is a new team and most players are under the age of 20.
This means that there are now two AFL teams in Sydney-the Giants and the Swans. It is a sport that is played in Victoria, WA, SA and Tasmania. The Victorians are MAD for AFL. It's a fast game and I think it's much more interesting than Rugby League, which is the main game in NSW.
The Giants lost, but it was a good game and the boys really enjoyed it.
Their colours are orange, white and charcoal which I think make quite a nice combination.
