A Snowy Christmas Swim

Liz and I met Caroline, Clare (in the photo) and Ruth at Bassenthwaite. 
The air temperature was 2, the water was 6. Although it felt a lot cooler. There was snow on the top of Skiddaw. We were only in for 25 minutes. Ruth had brought us hot Gluhwein and Stollen to share. She used to live in Germany where they celebrate St.Nicolas day on 5th December.
I appreciated Liz's heated seat on the way home although it seemed to take the rest of the day to warm up.
