The benefits of seaweed

An unexpected sight on the strand, a small gang of young bullocks had come down to the water's edge and were paddling and foraging - even eating seaweed. This is good. You may or may not know that Ireland has a large problem with its cattle (and sheep) belching out methane and Ireland has pledge to significantly reduced its emissions. Scientists have found that sneaking a tiny bit of of a certain sort of seaweed, aspatagopsis taxiformis, into their feed greatly reduces the methane but this doesn't grow in Ireland so tests are being made on native seaweeds - I reckon these lads already have it sussed. More here.

What glorious day! Not a whisper of wind and a strong rich light, I had a ramble around the headland first thing, then did some work in the garden and then joined Himself for the circuit minor. Very pleasant. 

And I've just remembered about Ceridwen's blip about what a cow's whorls say about him! I think this is a peaceful chap, they were certainly all very calm indeed.
