Twin birthdays
Yesterday I spent all morning with a group of volunteers planting spring bulbs at the castle. We put in native species to give early pollen for the insects. I was on daffodils, snowdrops and bluebells which together with the crocuses will look lovely when they come out.
Wildflower seeds had been planted along the drive to the car park early in the year and they started to come up. Bollards were put to protect them as there was a car show at the castle but their organisers moved them and the flowers were all smashed. Hopefully the same won't happen to the bulbs!
Last night we went to an early 21st birthday party for F's twin granddaughters near Leominster in Herefordshire. It was lovely seeing his family and several friends were there too, so good to chat to them all. Once the band came on (including F's grandson and son-in-law) talk stopped as we couldn't hear each other.
The twins are beautiful young ladies as you can see and looked really Pre-Raphaelite when all dressed up. The extra is of F and his two daughters.
It's a two hour journey back home so it was a late night!
