Red Alert?

Something scared Myrtle this morning. I was busy gardening when I saw her fly over our entrance gates and rush past me at great speed. She then took a flying leap onto the top of a garden gate and perched there looking very scared. I looked around. Saw no stray cats in the neighbor’s yard, no threatening humans, no dogs. It was a mystery. Mind you, we do have a Weka living in our neighborhood. I’ve seen it as had a neighbour. We believe it is living in the waste ground over the back fence of our property. We will never know!
