silly eggshells

The silly is not that I took a toy dinosaur to the garden and surrounded it with chicken eggshells. The silly is that for YEARS I have been washing, microwaving, hand crushing, and scattering eggshells. However long ago slugs gobbled up my hostas so I started doing this. It is my perception that the slug damage significantly decreased. It has given me satisfaction to do this.

There is zero scientific evidence to back this up. What there are, are videos showing slugs climbing over eggshells completely unharmed. 

Phooey. 

Well, at least it doesn't hurt.
