Female Pied Wagtail

It was cold walking around the playing fields this morning, but warmer in the shelter of the wood, where we spotted a group of goldcrests searching for food amongst the branches of an oak tree, accompanied by several long tailed tits.  I am lucky that my hearing is still good enough to hear them chattering in the canopy.

This afternoon I spotted a pair of wagtails under the feeder and decided it was only fair to post a picture of the female, having blipped  the male a few days before.
