Here a Quack, There a Quack...

It was a cold, gray, cloudy day, but I had to get out of the house as it was cleaning lady day; so despite the weather, I went down to the lake shore with my camera. Being a week-day and a cold one too, I had the place almost to myself...which was great..no crowds..just an occasional bird watcher passing through.

There were geese and ducks aplenty, and dead trees silhouetted against an ominous gray sky, but try as I might, I couldn't get a single image that worked...no interesting light, not a shadow to be found. The day could not have been much worse for photos, but I stuck it out thinking that if I waited long enough, surely a piece of blue sky or a ray of sunlight would eventually appear....and ...eventually ...they did, but just long enough to get a few shots of my blippable buddies...who are always there, happy to co-operate and pose for the camera...

Mission Accomplished...then back home to thaw out by the fire, with a cozy afghan and mug of hot chocolate.
