Project 365 day 337: Advent Tree

It was too wet today for me to feel inclined to go outside and photograph a real tree. This is J's advent calendar tree, decorated by her and her PA a few years ago. Each little drawer can just accommodate three Lindor balls, or some mini chocolate bars, chocolate coins or Brussels sprouts, which she shares after lunch with whoever is supporting her that day. The needle felted llama was also a J and PA creation. She enjoys doing things like this hand over hand, and she and M made several lovely needle felted animals as well as a huge nuno felt rainbow scarf.

This afternoon I baked - made a big batch of pastry to use with the home-made mincemeat as well as a chocolate tart for J. We've not done one of these before; she researched recipes online and chose Mary Berry's, which was easy to make and worked well - it's very chocolatey. Perhaps I'll get round to photos tomorrow.
