Split Decision

I finally managed to get out for a walk today. The best that can be said for the weather is that it stayed dry, but it was cold, dull and windy. There was very little to see over the fields - possibly the cold wind had kept things hunkered down, but I was glad of the fresh air and exercise.
For my blip, I've gone with this fungus - the Split Gill,  Schizophyllum commune.
I often see it bursting through the back plastic of hay or silage bales. The underside it more attractive, but as I had to photograph it over a wall with my lens extended, I could only capture the upper surface.
