south again towards taimali, the route mostly along the side of the highway, a detour along a beach, lined by the anti tank defences which litter the shores and riverbanks of the island... the walking has offered up one question to mull upon regarding this portion of the east coast, how is it possible that somewhere so beautiful can manage to be so unphotogenic, at least for me... the latest thought being that, in part, it relies upon a breadth of vision which the lens lacks, that the narrow spaces between the pacific and the hills just won't fit into the restrictions of a frame... but regardless, the walk is a joy... meanwhile the rabbit hole is on the road south towards kelso ...
