Anniversary Celebrations
Me (far right) and the family at the Ashbury hotel in Okehampton Devon, where we had a lovely weekend celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Picture was taken just after lunch and just before we set off for home.
Being away from home, and in the backwoods of Devon, I have not had a chance to post, but I hope to back blip when I have had the time to go through the pictures taken over the last 4 days.
Went air rifle shooting today and managed to beat luke who previously managed the high score in pistol shooting and archery for men. Clearly, his eyesight and/or aim is not so good at longer distacnce.
Also played tennis briefly with Jack, but the wind was bitterly cold so we gave that up after just a short time.
Went on to play snooker with Matthew. Much more suitable given the weather, but not as much fine if I'm honest. Takes so long to play a game when you are as useless as we were.
when we got home, we had a celebratory cake to cust and a glass of proseco. A very civilized end to the weekend. Back to reality tomorrow. i have to get matthew to the airport for 04:30 and I have a conference call at 07:30. No peace for the wicked.
