Squashy hat

I have been looking in Opp Shops for the perfect summer hat for a few weeks. It needs to be lightweight, cotton, bucket-shaped to keep the sun off my ears and nose, and squished into a pocket when not in use. 

There was nothing second hand which fit the bill - or my head. But then I saw this one online. It is new, which goes against my principles, but it is Trade Aid and organic cotton. It arrived yesterday. 

The fabric design is 'Easy Tiger' which reminds me of Lillian Bellamy, although I'm sure she wouldn't be seen dead in such functional headwear. But she called one of her men Tiger (Matt I think?) and she often said "Easy Tiger!" followed by her joyful throaty laugh.

And was Squashy Hat in Swallowdale? I'm sure one of you will know...
