Meet Alba.  She belongs to a boy I met in our park a few years ago.  Olivier, from France, now lives here in Derby.  He used to walk in the park each day.  He feeds the crows (they wait for him each day) and has a squirrel called Benito who he feeds by hand.  He also feeds MY robin, which I'll allow.   He has got himself a puppy, six months old, rescued from a kill shelter in Romania.   He's had her for three weeks now and adores her. 

She's coming to stay with me for a while over Christmas and we're doing some dry runs to get her acclimatised.  

In other news, I saw a kingfisher three times today.  Or three kingfishers, once each today.
