Squash Art

We finally have a kitchen floor! Whilst it was being done, I couldn’t even get close to the window to check out the garden!
Probably my favourite veg is Crown Prince squash so when it turned up in my online shop this week, I was delighted! It was the main ingredient in tonight’s meal, and as I was peeling it I was struck by the beautiful colours of the skin: a pale sage green on the outside, a very dark green underneath, then the orange of the flesh below that. And delicious to boot. Simple pleasures!
