Here We Are
December has arrived and it’s cold, not as cold for us as son Joshua who is currently experiencing temperatures of -23 in Sweden, he’s enjoying himself though. I don’t mind the cold, it’s the rain, almost sleet, that accompanies the biting wind.
Poor Paddy is currently suffering one shortened walk a day although he doesn’t look too bothered, he doesn’t travel well in the car or van so he will need to go for a decent walk before we head off on our adventures on Friday.
Advent Calendars are about our only concession to the Christmas Festivities so far, most of it will get done on our return from East Wittering on Monday. As always the good intentions of early preparation have slipped by so next week will be all about playing ‘catch up’.
As the latest Covid variant rears it’s ugly head Mrs S and I will be considering our options when it comes to the seven or so Christmas functions we have been invited paid to attend.
I don’t see the rate in and around Falmouth dropping anytime soon as the holidaymakers, second home owners etc arrive and in the New Year as students return to the local Uni’s from around Britain. I guess we will be living with restrictions well into the next year.
