Cold rations

Out today to visit Sandwich by bus.
A cold day with some disappointments.
Firstly we set off at a good time to catch the 0933 bus which failed to materialise so we stood freezing our whatsits off for 40 minutes until the next one came along.
That one went via a different route so we didn’t pass the famous road sign to Sandwich one way and Ham the other.
We had a walk round the town trail and read all the all the info signs. Lunch in the Bell Inn was good and then after another 45 mins on the town trail it was back to the bus stop for the return to Deal. This was even more circuitous than the first trip.. A brisk walk back along the coast path and we were in the Castle by 4.
