Before Sunrise

I took this photo 40 minutes (exactly) before sunrise, having noticed the light outside as I awoke. Frustrating that other houses obscure the view, but I still like the shape of the winter trees and the crescent moon in the sky.

This side of the house is south facing, which means that with the sun now tracking low in the sky, the tall hedge which separates us from our neighbour is now keeping our back garden in the shade through the day.

I am recovering from the bug I somehow caught earlier in the week (still puzzled about the source. J is fine thankfully). I must be getting better as I attended a 90 minute online induction meeting this afternoon, followed everything and participated.
