Tim

Last weekend Fareham station hosted a two day event celebrating its 180th anniversary. Then on Monday a plaque was unveiled in commemoration.
I went to see it today and this painting was  above the plaque. There was an explanation along side -
"this painting is a representation of a collecting dog. They were real dogs who were at the stations wearing a metal neck tin. The money was to help the families of the railway workers in times of need. The last collecting dog was Tim at Paddington Station 1941. This is our Tim. We would like to thank all the charities that support railway families to this day".
(It was very sunny this morning and the reflection is from a window in the ticket office.)
