This Way Up

I had an hour or two to kill in Fitzrovia so squeezed in a couple of mini exhibitions. First was a series of photos of the Becontree estate near Dagenham at the RIBA. It was interesting but not as good as the pictures of Margaret Marks in a similar style. But the RIBA is a beautiful space with big sunny windows. 

Looping back via John Lewis I happened upon Aperture Photographic next to the BBC. A lustworthy selection of Leica cameras to drool over plus a series of beautiful pictures of 1960's pub life in the north east by Ian Berry. I recognised one of them as being the cover of the recent Bob Dylan CD. 

The nice people at Aperture let me have a play with a Leica Q2. Maybe one day...
