Chang Chang Changitty Chang Sha-Bop

My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

Today Corrie and I were in Whakatāne to set up their video conferencing room.

It was a fun trip. We flew into Rotorua and Corrie drove us up, accompanied by Caro's gym mix* from my phone.

The people seemed very nice and we had fun chat with the two ladies in the office (Hayley and Lynley). However it was also STINKING HOT there. Muggy and sticky. See the extra of me and Corrie going for a walk. But we weren't there for very long. Even though it was quite a complicated job, the two guys doing it were amazing and had finished EVERYTHING by 6pm!

(We were supposed to stay on for TWO MORE days to give them time to do it all).

So now we can leave early and go home TOMORROW. Woohoo!

In celebratory mood, we drove up to Ohope for Mexican food (replete with sombreros) where I had a mango daiquiri and Corrie had a mango mojito. The two of us get along really well so we talked about aspirations and ambitions and laughed at our respective partners.

(Although it turns out that Corrie is, "The Caro" in her relationship. She is very organised and something of a planner. This does not surprise me. She makes a great surrogate Project Manager while Shenée is on holiday).

And, as often happens with our cult-like little team we got talking about how much we love the project and each other. We really have turned into a family. I had exactly the same chat with Losi last week. It is really special and something I do not take for granted.

Afterward, we adjourned to my hotel room where I had set up the projector. The previous evening I asked her for her favourite movie. Although I already had a suspicion. "Grease is the word?" I asked.

OH MY GOD YES came her text reply.

I added subtitles for the songs so we spent the evening going WELL-A WELL-A WELL-A UH and AS FOR YOU TROY DONOHUE and STRANDED AT THE DRIVE-IN BRANDED A FOOL as well as doing all of the dance moves for "Greased Lightnin'".

I texted Caro about it. TELL ME ABOUT IT, STUD, she replied.

Neither Corrie or I were drunk. Which was a shame. But we still managed to have fun. BEST MOVIE NIGHT EVER! Corrie texted later.

This team of ours, we'll always be together... aaaaalways be tooooogether...

Boogedy boogedy boogedy boogedy shooby doo-wop she-bop.
