Waiting for the Shoe Shine Guy

Burlington Arcade was looking pretty festive today with even more sparkly things to look at in the windows (if you can afford it).

I spent a lot of time today giving directions to American tourists and northerners. At least our US friends had an excuse not to use Google Maps.

I remember when I first saw this little pop up stall back in the eighties. I was horrified to see someone involved in such a Dickensian trade. Now I realise how much they make, I see it as a clever piece of private enterprise.
