Clearing up

It is going to take many days of work to clear up the damage which Storm Arwen
caused in the woodlands around Arnside Knott. These woods are owned by the National Trust
and this morning Trust staff and tree surgeons backed up by an army of volunteers were out in force 
working to clear the many footpaths which are blocked by fallen trees. In some places I had to climb over 
large trunks to complete my walk.

For some time I think the sound of chain saws will accompany my wanderings.
