Long shadows

Yes, the trees are tall, but the sun is lower, so these shadows are even longer in the early afternoon now than they are in the evening in summer.

Not much going on. Still working. Today some of us had a meeting with the company's financial planner because we're now eligible for the 401(k). I'm going to dump as much money in it as I can because I am so far behind on my retirement savings thanks to low-paying jobs. That means today was my last big paycheck. The rest ought to be significantly lower (but still more than my last job!). That's good for the future, but it means I'll have to spend a little less. Not a problem.

I need to set up an appointment with my counselor, but I keep putting it off.
