Almost nothing happens in Namur
Allthough the weather wasn t in my favour, i decided to take a train journey to Namur. This city is situated in the french spoken part of our country. I took almost 3 hours to reach. It has been ages since i ve been there , so verry curious how the city developped in time.
Being thre i took a slow walk through the city towards the citadel which is quite a climb and walk, but impressive once you are there. Further i walked along the border of the river Maas and Samber. Visited 2 churches a quick snack and off i went at 2 pm, homewards. I did leave early as i my shoes were soaked and to avoid the rush hours. Going to places i continiously walk and observate , absorbing the vibe of the city. I was surprised by the cleanliness of the city, which has been different in past.
Whel i must say compared to Bruges there were no tourists to spot. The citadel is normally a touristical hotspot, but nobody to see.
