Waiting

Haven’t seen my sister in over a year, and she arrived for a visit today. It’s good that we’re together as my cousin passed away this morning, and I had to tell her the news when she landed. Ann was diagnosed with cancer two years ago, and was determined to soak up every ounce of life - which she did. A big hole in the family today. They say that the depth of sorrow is an indication of the depth of love you have known with the one who had to leave - and I can’t argue with that.
