Lake of Menteith and Gargunnock Hills

Despite the continuing cold , it has been a beautiful day for the first day of April. This is a view looking over the Lake of Menteith towards the still snow covered Gargunnock Hills. It is taken from the yellow marked walk from Braeval Car park nr aberfoyle from a spot which commands an extensive view towards Stirling . I previously blipped ,last March, the view looking more directly East but was impressed today with the blueness of the lake and contrasting snow.
