Hooray for Internet!!!

I have real internet again! After 40 hours without, I am so happy.

The infrastructure package includes $65 billion for broadband access to improve internet services for rural areas, low-income families, and tribal communities. Hooray for them too!

The internet cable is temporary, just to get me up and working. They'll come by in two weeks and bury a line - I hope. They have to put it behind and under a retaining wall. The frozen ground won't be a problem compared to that. (Why did I forget the cable was there?)

Remember how proud I was to install a smart thermostat?

Without internet you can't use your cellphone to change the temperature. You actually have to get up, cross the room, and change it by hand.

I know, I know, total pants!

Like back before we had remotes and had to walk over and turn the tv off and on and change channels by hand.

Thank goodness those days are gone.

During a lull in meetings I ran off to the plant store and bought shredded mulch. I saw flowering hellebores for the first time - but they didn't have their name on them. Weird.
