Dancing at the Town Hall

Not 'in' yet, but the team looking to re-open the Town Hall continues to work away. The council should be starting work shortly on some repairs, using a grant from the Scottish Government, and there are plans to raise the profile of the project and generate the funds needed to get us to the point where the Town Hall can operate on a self-sustaining basis. As part of efforts to show the community that things are still happening as we await the council starting work we commissioned a local mural artist to paint a couple of pieces for the panels on either side. This one shows different aspects of dancing and performing in Portobello. As it happens most of the images were based on photos I sent her to give her some inspiration. Taken on the way to the shops. On the way back saw a number of birdwatchers on the Prom with big telescopes. Apparently they were looking for a King Eider that had been seen, a long way out.
