Last day of meteorological autumn.

While standing by the Leg of Mutton Pond gazing in the direction of the rising sun I just happened to glance behind me and saw this beautiful cloud formation - I had to get round to the other side of the pond fairly smartly in order to capture this scene at its best. From time to time it pays to check what is going on behind and not be fixated on just the  sunrise. As the saying goes, a lesson has been learned!
