Cause of chaos

We got to the end of our road and traffic was stationary in both directions. I assume it’s due to this humongous drill where they’re building a bridge across a new road. I took this yesterday while we were waiting in the queue. We turned round and went home today and had a cup of tea instead of going shopping.
