Hanging on

Busy day with both a morning and an afternoon exam to supervise.  Both sessions finished early though as students completed their papers early so that was a bonus for me.

Arrived home intending to mow lawns but decided they could wait until tomorrow afternoon when I had more time.

Easy tea then sat down on sofa, watched the news and fell asleep!  Hmmmm.......earlier bedtime tonight methinks.

In COVID news, there were 134 new cases reported today.  89 are in hospital and 9 in ICU.  Closer to home, the new case reported yesterday has grown into 3 local cases today with the addition of 2 close contacts.

I had a call this evening from F who has found out one of the local cases was at an event she herself was at at the weekend.  Given we're working with large numbers of people for exams F has taken the precautionary action of removing herself from exam duties for at least tomorrow so I get to step in to keep the exams running smoothly.  Definitely going to need an early night tonight as tomorrow will be an early start and a late finish.

Like this wee leaf, my lawns will just have to hang on a little longer.
