Sail Mhor
We ran out of coal last night in the bothy and started on the peat. Didn't push a load of heat out but we loaded it high and went to bed. Must burn slow and long that stuff as the place was toasty all night as Colin froze his bawz off at minus 6 in his tent. Really Colin? didnae feel like that in here mate ;)
Before breakfast, whilst the light was still quite "warm" I wandered with a coffee to the beach beyond Badrallach campsite. I sat as the wee birds cheeped, oyster catchers made their racket as the pottered about the beach, cormorants flew low and fast over the water and a wee seal popped up to say hello. No sign of the sea eagle spotted the day before or the rumoured otters, not that I was bothered. You can't pay money for a coffee like that.
Packed up after that and had a surprisingly easy run back down the road. Stopped off in Aviemore and had a fabulous creamy seafood chowder in the Mountain Cafe and spotted my next rucksack purchase in the shop below.
Good weekend all in I reckon......
