A proper frost

We only had sleety rain over the weekend but woke to a proper hard frost today. Nearly -4 as they set off for school this morning- I was glad to admire from indoors! It did get above freezing later, but not enough to completely melt the bird bath when I was out at about 3pm for a brief walk to the postbox.
