Better than nothing .....

Another morning feeding cattle by torch light. Yesterday's snow didn't help as the yard like an ice rink and spent quite a while impersonating Torville and Dean.
Loaded up my 2 heifers and headed off to St Boswells for the Christmas sale. A bit of rally driving required until I eventually reached the main roads.
A lot of trees had been blown over the A68 by the look of things on Friday night.
Amazingly I got a 3rd ticket for my blonde X heifer so not a bad day. Also had a feed in the canteen before heading home as the power still off since Friday.
Had to bring in a cow and calve her tonight,but at least it's alive. Milked some colostrum out the cow and stomach tubed the calf. No doubt will need fed tomorrow morning as it doesn't look like it's going to have the sense to find a test.
Managed to borrow a generator from one of my contractor pals,so at least we have a few lights tonight. The joys.....
