72 hours later - all the odds and sods of blood specks, super-glue, etc. have vanished.  There's still, I suppose inevitably, a hint of swelling - but - the squeamish will find these bad enough I suppose.
Particularly if sight of a needle is dubbed "cruel and unusual punishment" by super-squeam.

As for Arwen - s/he must have either "done" Penrith a day early or missed totally.  Friday night it tipped the Wheelie Bin over and made opening door harder and that was it.  Yesterday gave 1"-2" of snow which didn't stand a chance in the 8˚C we had most of the day.
