Sunday: Promise of Spring & Aftermath of Storm
The Cosmos on the left look as if someone has taken a blowtorch to them, it was just the wind which was Storm “Arwen”, shouldn’t complain we’ve had Cosmos in flower since July - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2860621708933466878
Another casualty of the storm was a mature side shoot of the Wild Sea Cabbage which had fallen from the parent plant. I cut off all the usable leaves, chopped and frozen to add to savoury dishes over the coming months, then made 2 stem cuttings which I’ve planted on into compost in deep pots and left them in the greenhouse for now.
Clearing fallen leaves on the top path I noticed Spring bulbs just pushing through, in a few weeks we’ll have Snowdrops, then Crocus and Daffodils and Spring will on the way :-)) in today’s Blip a pot of daffodils.
Today’s job was defrosting the freezer, which I do every 6 months - all ready for restocking now ready for winter!
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
