There Were Blue Skies Over The Away End For Dover

…. and an icy gale blowing straight into our faces in the Home terrace for this afternoon’s game at Huish Park. I’m sure our goalkeeper will be blaming that for the goal that Dover scored in the second minute when he tried to catch a harmless looking cross and somehow ended up patting it into the net.

For the rest of the first half we were terrible, having real trouble judging the strength of the wind and either over or under hitting our passes. With the wind behind us in the second half we managed to improve and deservedly equalised wit 15 minutes to go. We could and should have won the game with a bit more steadiness in front of goal.

I was absolutely frozen by full time. At least the effort of fighting against the Gale kept us warm during this morning’s Park Run.
