Power, or lack of

Like many folk we woke up this morning to a light covering of snow and no power.

We’ll, almost no power. It was as if a trickle was getting through. Lights glimmering and barely enough juice to get the kettle to boil, it did, just took about 10 minutes. Our central heating died last week with no hope of resurrection and the little electric heaters we’ve relied on to keep the chill off for the past few weeks just weren’t getting enough power to work. So we spent most of the day huddled in front of the fire.

Did manage to catch some sunshine and go for a walk down to the beach before home for lunch of soup heated up on our camping stove. Never has a bowl of hot soup been more appreciated.

Power back on about 3pm. So managed to get back to working on my scarf. Hopefully blip a pic of it finished tomorrow.
