I'M DREAMING OF A WHITE ..........................

.....................Um no not Christmas too early for that yet!!

Visited Mum today.  There was a gorgeous sunrise this morning then it all turned very dark and grey.  On the way over to Morecambe there were a few flurries of snow, more or less what we expected really.

It seems we were very lucky indeed because on driving through Grange this morning we noticed that most of Grange is still without power eeekkk!!!

Got to Mum's OK, traffic quite busy on the M6 for some reason, but we weren't held up at all.  Mum is OK so we had a good chat.  My gorgeous niece Emma came to see us it was so good to see her again.

Whilst we were sat there the snow started coming on thick and fast "gulp".  It was pretty much like that all morning, so straight after lunch whilst it was still snowing heavily we decided we ought to leave early.  Gave Emma a lift to pick up one of her wonderful sons and drop her off at home.  Saw snow on the sand whilst driving along the prom.

We then drove back up the A6 this time, stopping off at the statue of Venus and Cupid for a quick photo of them in the snow.  We also stopped off at the usual layby in Milnthorpe by the Dallam Estate Deer Park (no deer as they were being sensible of course). but lots of snow and skeletal trees.  Took several photos.

Then we decided to stop off on The Prom in Grange near the railway station.  I couldn't help it I just had to walk out onto the snow salt marshes to the waters edge and had a lovely walk along the path there, taking several photos before heading home.

Now of course the laptop is playing up again but only when in LightRoom so I will make up some collages when I've managed to develop  the photos and put them in extras in a day or two.

Apparently most of Grange's power is now back on but there is still a section without power.  Coniston is also without power as we speak.  As always the local population in each area have stepped up and hot drinks and place to sit and get warm and feel welcomed is being provided in both places for those that need it.

Now home and settled in for the evenign.  I can see mirror glass water out on The Bay with snow on the sands in between and it's looking stunning.

Do stay safe everyone, take care and keep warm.  See you  all tomorrow.
