Pukeko

Aka swamphen. Previously a visitor from Australia, about one thousand years ago. Now widespread and a nuisance to the local allotment holders as they dig up anything resembling a carrot. Nor are they the fastest thing on two legs as they often end up merged with the tarmac on the motorway.
