I had planned to replumb our utility room so we can move the washing machine for when we get the new dryer and fridge freezer in a couple of weeks. We've also ordered some cupboards and a worktop so we can make better use of the space.
I spent some time last night adding all the bits I needed to a screwfix shopping basket, and ordered for collection.
Annoyingly I didn't read the message that said only part of the order would be there today and the rest was coming on monday.
Never mind there was enough to be going on with so when I got back from screwfix my first job was, drill a 40mm hole through the wall for the waste. Easy, although I had to spend £40 on a diamond hole cutting thing.
Next job was to tap the existing cold feed so I could take a new pipe off for the washing machine and fridge. I have a very handy pipe cutter so this sort of thing is easy.. Well it would be if there was space behind the pipe to get the cutter in. I had a quick chat with Al my business partner who suggested several ways to do it but eventually came to the conclusion that the best thing was to buy a tool to do it (it's a multi tool so I can use it for lots of things). Another £50 to screwfix.
So I gave up for the day. H, Pops and I went to Saffron Walden to Waitrose to get some dinner then back to screwfix for the multi tool.
As Alf was at football I put up another guitar hanger for him so now he can have all of his good guitars hanging. These are not all his.
The two black ones are mine but the are all the same make and an evolution from left to right.
That done I went out to get some firewood and got distracted by a rat, so I shot it. My reward is a glass of sherry.
