Brrrr
Storm Arwen arrived locally overnight. The conditions were nowhere near as bad as they were in the north of the county but there was some wet snow falling when I went into Bath first thing this morning. The strong winds first thing meant that it felt much colder than the 1C my car's thermometer was reading.
But by lunch time the winds were beginning to die down and we even had some (brief) patches of sunshine and glimmers of blue sky, but its mainly grey and windy.
Cathy's gone out Christmas shopping and I have a Zoom talk to watch this afternoon: 'The Art of Metamorphosis' being given by Andrea Hargreaves FIPF MPAGB AWPF BPE4 PSA4 EFIAP/b.
Andrea is someone who clearly lets her imagination run wild while exploiting the capabilities of photo editing software to create ambitious fantastical images. I anticipate that this is going to be much less about taking images and rather more about creating them. There is so much that can be done with processing (not all of it good by any means) I am hoping to gain an understanding of some of the techniques she uses. Not a bad thing to do on a cold unwelcoming Saturday afternoon!
