Silvas Capitalis

We've had the most amazing day! We set off before sunrise to get to Kielder Water, then walked 18 miles to walk all the way around the whole thing! So many photos... but I love this one of 'Silvas Capitalis'  to sum up the fun we had! Sculptures/artworks are scattered around the shoreline, giving lots of photo opportunities.

It's the longest walk we've done in a very long time (possibly pretty much the longest ever) and a bit of a race against time as the sun isn't up for many hours at this time of year. We were so lucky with the weather and made it back to the car just with a beautiful red-orange-yellow sunset, and it was amazing to be able to be well enough to keep going on such an adventure after last year's ill health.
