Coach Road
The mere mention of Coach Road will bring Adelaide's cyclists to their knees in tears. No one rides up there undamaged, even if they don't make it. Most will bail out before half way. Its a serious ascent at an average of 20% with spots up to 26%. The descent will have you on the brakes all the way down - very technical. The road is narrow with sharp tight bends which really kill the legs. Without doubt the hardest climb in Adelaide.
Today's blip is the view overlooking North Adelaide and the Eastern suburbs from approximately three quarters of the way up. As you can see the weather continues to be dark and grey. It is also beginning to get chilly in the evenings.
