Berry Tart deliciousness

I just spent the afternoon watching baking shows on tv. Feeling inspired I set out to make a fruit tart… bearing in mind I’ve never ever made pastry, nor a tart of any description! Somehow or other I produced the tart - mixed fresh berries I had to hand… served it with mascarpone with lemon zest. Surprisingly it tasted yummy… and didn’t have the dreaded soggy bottom - my old Mum would be so proud! She’s now 93 and moved out of our home into a dementia unit earlier in the year sadly… we miss her so much - and she was always a wonderful cook and baker - so I never baked as I didn’t need to! I’ll show her the photo when I go visiting - not been allowed to for four months now…sad times, but I’m trying hard to keep some of her traditions alive.
