Time To Fluff Up The Nest

I stopped by the large eagle nest on West Axton Road this morning and watched a couple eagles collecting moss to soften things up a bit inside. It's also a prime hunting area and watched a couple unsuccessful, but impressive attempts to pick up a meal. The old nest was knocked down a couple years ago by a windstorm and this new one is about five feet in diameter. Glad they rebuilt because they are a lot of fun to photograph nesting and in action.
